A water filter housing is a container that houses water filters. There are different types available for different functions.
The filter housing is one of the important parts of water purification devices.
In water purification devices, the container that holds the filters is called a housing. Basically, pre-filtration filters are placed inside these housings.
The housing is the filter chamber designed to hold the water filter. Each housing usually has an inlet and an outlet. This path is marked on the housing head. The housing is designed so that water flows from the inlet section around the water filter. After passing through the filter, the water exits the middle section. It is directed outwards through the outlet of the housing head.
Each standard water filter housing consists of two main parts:
- Housing or enclosure
- Cap (head)
